Nana Build – Emblem, Spell, Items & Guide | Mobile Legends

Nana is the infamous cuddly cat of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. She is a sweet, enthusiastic and jolly Leonin but is a known troublemaker in her hometown. Whenever there are tasks around, she does her best to help but ends up causing trouble. She once tried to help bake some apple pies but ended up ruining them because she can’t control her powers.

Nana once saved a small leopard cat named Molina. Molina is already an orphan who had no one so she kept bothering Nana to play with her and be her friend but Nana chose to ignore her and play with her fellow Leonins. 

One evening, a drunk Nana accidentally cast a strong spell that ruined the newly build Leonin’s playground. She decided to leave their hometown immediately before everyone woke up. Nana ended up wandering alone in the forest where no other creatures would talk to her. She later realized that Molina was following her but she drove her away because of the troubles she might encounter. Molina insisted on keeping her company and suggested a place that grows a fruit that can help her control her power.

When they reached the Shadow Swamp, they found the magic fruit in the cave so Nana went in to get it. As she was doing so, a monster suddenly appeared to attack her. When Molina noticed it, she suddenly transformed into the likeness of Nana and then blocked the monster’s attack. With the help of the fruit, Nana was able to properly cast a strong spell to repel the monster.

Molina was badly injured after the incident. Nana wept and tried to pass some spiritual powers to her but there was no improvement. Instead, Molina grabbed her hand and passed her transformation power hoping that she would be her only friend forever. Molina’s final wish for her is to stay happy forever.

Nana Overview

Nana is a mage/support hero that has a good combination of control and burst skills. Her second skill which can turn an enemy into a helpless cat is what makes her a support hero. She may look like a cute and weak kitten outwardly but she can become a fierce tiger on the battlefield with the right build and techniques.

The current Global Top 1 Nana player kokoa will be our reference for this guide. We’ll study her best Nana build and check one-by-one the spell, emblem and items that she selected for Nana to understand how they helped her reach the top position for this hero. 

Basic Stats

Skills

Upon receiving a death blow, Nana undergoes a transformation that removes all control effects and makes her immune to all attacks. Her movement speed will be boosted to 70% while her HP gradually recovers to 10% for 2 seconds.

Nana’s Magic Boomerang can be thrown in a selected location to deal 245 + 120% Total Magic Power Damage to all enemies along its path. This has a slow effect of 40% for 1 second and its damage to extra enemies hit is lowered to 20-60%.

Nana summons Molina to a target location and will remain stationary for 12 seconds. If an enemy hero enters Molina’s range, it will chase it within 2.5 seconds. Upon hit, Molina will deal 250 + 50% Total Magic Power Damage and then transform the target to prevent it from attacking or casting any skills within 1.5 seconds. The enemy’s Movement Speed will be reduced to 50% and its Magic Defense will have a 25% reduction.

Nana calls on Molina to attack a selected area 3 times dealing 400 + 180% Total Magic Power Damage to all enemies in its path while reducing their movement speed by 50% within 1 second. Enemies who get hit twice will have a 1-second stun.

Agility – Movement Speed +6.00%
Observation – Magic Penetration +6.00
Magic Worship – Dealing damage greater than 7% of a hero’s Max HP 3 time(s) within 5 seconds inflicts 3 times of burn on them, each time dealing 82-250 Magic Damage. This effect has a 12-second cooldown.

Battle Spell

This battle spell is highly recommended for Nana considering her mage function. Its Magic Damage also scales with the user’s magic power and the distance of the target. Its short cooldown allows her to spam it a bit more. Another big benefit is the knockback feature because it helps Nana put a great distance between her and her chaser when she’s trying to escape.

This will allow Nana to have closer contact with her enemies during team clashes. Its 5-second shield can help protect her from splash damage attacks including a nearby ally.

This last option will simply help Nana better chase her enemies and avoid death. Enemies with little life left are guaranteed to lose it after Nana catches up on them using this spell.

Nana Gameplay Tips

Skill Upgrade Priority

First Priority – First Skill: Magic Boomerang
Main Priority – Ultimate Skill: Molina Blitz
Least Priority – Second Skill: Molina Smooch

Nana Combo

First Combo:
Second Skill + First Skill + Flameshot
This will be your early-game combo. The first skill and Flameshot can be interchanged since the enemy tends to hide behind the tower after getting chased by Molina. Don’t hesitate to keep using your flameshot in the early part of the game because it has a short cooldown.

Second Combo:
Second Skill + Ultimate + First Skill + Flameshot
This second combo puts the second skill as the first move as well because it lowers the Magic Defense of your enemy aside from slowing it down and disabling its skills. You need to immediately use your ultimate skill right after that to inflict maximum damage. Following it up with your first skill and flameshot would usually result in a kill already but if not, simply barrage your target with a Basic Attack.

Nana Mobile Legends Combat Strategy

Harass. Start the game by putting Molina in a position where your enemy can’t attack the minions which is just right in front of their tower. If the enemy gets caught by Molina, shoot it immediately with flameshot because it would inflict larger damage because of the Magic Defense reduction. This early-game advantage will give you a better chance to send your enemy back to base to heal.

Anticipate & Reveal. Use Molina to check if the bush doesn’t have an enemy hiding by casting it there. Try to estimate where the enemy would run during a fight then place Molina there.

Roam and Assist. As a mid-lane mage hero, make sure to visit the two corners of the map from time to time to help your teammates. If the enemy is close to your tower, place Molina behind it so it won’t have any place to run when your teammate attacks it. You can also wait for your enemy to start a fight then cast Molina to the enemy who is already busy fighting your ally for a sure catch. 

Gank. If Nana is already powerful enough to kill a target on her own, you can set a trap by putting Molina inside a bush where most of your enemies hide. Wait for a victim to get caught then barrage it with your skills to its death.

Team Fight. When outnumbered, throw a group of enemies a cat then watch them scream and run as if they saw a rat. Cancel the enemy tank’s ultimate with Molina and stun the enemies behind it with your ultimate skill.
