Floryn is the Budding Hope of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Balerick was sad to see the drought in the Agatha Drylands but he found hope when he saw a flower that managed to stay alive. This inspired him to create an Oasis in the land. In the process, he accidentally poured too much power into the flower. A glowing seed was formed and as for the flower itself, it transformed into a life form that became Floryn.
Floryn lived carefree inside the Oasis. Merchants and travelers would sometimes pass by their area until he met a young man who became her friend. He frequently passed by the Oasis and share stories of his travels with her. Floryn trusted the young man enough to tell him about the mysterious glowing seed she was keeping. He eventually acted differently and to Floryn’s surprise, the glowing seed was gone along with the young man.
She ended up doing something she had never done before—going out of the Oasis. During her travel, Floryn saw the misery and hardship in the desert as she explored to find the young man. She eventually found him but the seed already lost its glow. The young man explained that he was desperate to help her impoverished family because of the famine in their land. Instead of anger, Floryn felt compassion and poured out her power into the seed but it ended up becoming a mysterious creature.
This creature displayed its power by sending rain into the land where plants immediately sprouted and turned the dry lands green. Everyone in the community was very thankful and happy for what they did. She realized that her new goal is to expand the greeneries in the dessert to bring it back to life.
Floryn Overview
Floryn is a support hero known not just for healing somewhere—but everywhere! Her skills are also composed of burst damage and stun. Floryn’s one-of-a-kind feature is having a default item in her build which can be shared with one of her allies.
The current Global Top 1 Floryn is YOSHIKO. He managed to have an overall win rate of 89.9% out of 574 games for this hero. This guide will feature his best Floryn build and his choice of spell, emblem and items to show what formula helped him reach the top position for this hero.
Skills
Passive: Dew
The Dew’s lantern can improve Floryn’s attributes. When she’s at the base, she can share it with an allied hero without reducing the existing slot of items that it currently has which will last for 30 seconds. The lantern will evolve when it reaches 1,000 stacks. Hitting enemies with skills will speed up the stack accumulation. This item can’t be sold or bought.
First Skill: Sow
Floryn throws an Energy Seed to her target to deal 180 + 180% Total Magic Power Damage. Healing Fruits will grow and attach to nearby allies to heal them by 175 + 65% Total Magic Power plus 5% of their lost HP (60% when used in non-hero enemy).
Evolved Lantern: The range of this attack will have a 125% boost.
Second Skill: Sprout
Floryn fires a blob of energy to a target area to deal 175 + 90% Total Magic Power Damage. Once it hits the maximum range or upon hitting a target, it will explode and deal 105 + 54% Total Magic Power Damage to all enemies nearby then stun them for 1 second.
Evolved Lantern: The explosion range will have a 125% boost.
Ultimate Skill: Bloom
Floryn unleashes the power of the Dew to restore 400 + 70% Total Magic Power equivalent of HP to all allied heroes across the map two times. Enemies nearby those who are healed will receive damage of 15 + 60% Total Magic Power Damage and will have a 30% Movement Speed reduction for 0.8 seconds.
Evolved Lantern: This skill will remove Healing Reduction effects on allied heroes and give them immunity to the effects for 3 seconds.
Best Floryn Build
Items
Lantern of Hope. This is a Floryn-exclusive item that can’t be moved, removed or replaced. It will give her a good start in terms of Magic Power, Movement Speed and slight cooldown reduction. The best part is that it can be shared with an ally at the start of the game. Once it reaches 1,000 stacks, all of Floryn’s skills will be enhanced.
Demon Shoes. As a skill spammer, it’s critical for her to have a good source of mana up front so it’s recommended to get this affordable item. Its most important feature, of course, is the Movement Speed boost.
Fleeting Time. This next item will help Floryn spam her skills even more because it has a high cooldown reduction which goes higher if she was able to kill or assist using her ultimate skill. It will also give her high magic damage and mana.
Brute Force Breastplate. To keep her sustained in the game, bulking up her HP and giving her Physical Defense using this item would be a good start. What’s great about this item is that it compliments her skill spamming since it will continue to increase her Physical and Magic defense when she uses her skills more.
Late Game Items
Athena’s Shield. This late-game item will protect her from fellow magic users because of its high Magic Defense but it will also give her high HP and HP regen. The passive feature of this item will boost her Magic Damage protection for a short time.
Immortality. To help secure her survivability in the game, this item will boost her HP while giving her decent Physical Defense. Its main feature is helping her resurrect in case an unexpected attack eliminates her.
Floryn Emblem Set
The Global Top 1 Floryn player found it effective to use the Custom Support Emblem set for this hero since she’s a support/mage hero. The default features of this emblem fit her well because it covers cooldown reduction and HP regen. Let’s inspect the configuration of this emblem.
For the first feature, he maxed out Mastery to reduce Floryn’s cooldown. This perfectly blends with his cooldown reduction items. Lower cooldown allows her to heal her allies more. For the second feature, he maxed out Gift which will boost her healing effect.
For the final feature, he selected Pull Yourself Together to reduce her respawn time and the cooldown of her battle spell. If you’re good at avoiding death, you may not need its respawn time reduction but you will surely need its battle spell cooldown reduction. What great about it is that flameshot already has a short cooldown.
Battle Spell
Flameshot. As a magic user, this spell can help ensure that escaping enemies with little HP left will be eliminated. This can also protect her from surprise melee attacks because of its knockback feature.
Flicker. If Floryn’s survivability is your priority, this spell would be a great option for her. The instantaneous teleportation would be hard to track if you do it inside a bush. It will also allow her to chase a dying enemy.
Arrival. Despite being able to heal everywhere, her presence during team fights is still critical for the team because of the stun and extra healing she provides. If roaming is your focus, getting this spell would be a good option for her.
Floryn Gameplay
Skill Upgrade Priority
Sow. Prioritize upgrading this first skill because it’s not just a powerful attack on your enemies—it also has a powerful healing power for your allies.
Bloom. This ultimate skill must be upgraded as soon as it’s available. Aside from its powerful healing across the map, it can also slow down and damage enemies who are near your allies receiving the healing.
Sprout. Even if this skill is powerful in offense because of its stun, it doesn’t need to be prioritized when upgrading.
Floryn Combo
First Combo:
First Skill + Second Skill
This will be your early game combo to damage your enemies while allowing yourself to heal at the same time. You need to move back and forth to simply poke your target.
Second Combo:
First Skill + Second Skill + Ultimate Skill + Flameshot
Before using this combo, you should have poked your target to lower its HP. Unlike the previous combo, you’ll be fighting the enemy head-on like a melee hero. After using the first two skills, move close to the target so that it will receive damage when you use your ultimate skill. If it was stunned by your second skill, move behind it to knock it back to the tower using flameshot. If its HP is low enough before using this combo, you may not even need to knock it back to the tower.
Fighting Strategy
Share. At the start of the game, make sure to share the lantern with one of your teammates. It’s ideally best shared with the team’s core player, but you might eventually transfer it to the best-performing player. It would be a waste to share it with an ally that keeps on dying.
Stack. Your first goal is to reach 1,000 stacks for your lantern because it will enhance the power of the rest of your skills. You can speed up the stack by spamming your skills and making sure that they hit your target.
Poke. Annoy your enemies with your stun and offensive healing combo. Even if it managed to retaliate, your healing feature will help you restore your lost HP.
Roam. Take advantage of Floryn’s stun feature to surprise an enemy and help your allies secure a kill when you roam to visit their lanes. As a mid-lane hero, you’re the closest ally who can quickly respond to the clashes on the two opposite lanes.
Map. Always check the map to see if you have an ally engaged in a fight that might need your healing power. Since your ultimate skill doesn’t just heal but damage your enemies as well, you’re not just remotely healing your ally but you’re remotely attacking its opponent too.
Team Fight. Pick the perfect time to cast your ultimate skill during team fights to make the most out of it. As much as possible, you would want to cast it when most of your allies received damage instead of just one. Use your first skill to help heal front-facing heroes instead of resorting to using her ultimate skill right away.
